TriMet is comprised of an amazing network of bus stops, light rail systems, MAX metro area express & WES westside express service, and the reintroduction of the Portland Streetcar.
This network can take you all over the city — even the airport — and link riders from outlying areas into Portland’s downtown hub.
These phone apps can keep you on schedule, help you find your way, and let you sit back and enjoy the ride.
Amazing — PDX Bus is the only transit app you’ll need to get around Portland on its network of public transportation. Pdxbus.com displays bus stops, MAX & WES stops, plus Portland streetcars. Because every TriMet bus stop and rail station has its own unique “Stop ID” number, simply enter the Stop ID number and pdxbus.com gives you the arrivals for that stop. Plus, it’s free for the iPhone.
Have an Android — Try Trip planner for Android. You can look up arrival times for any stop that TriMet reports. This includes all MAX & WES stops and bus stops. Streetcar times are not currently available.
Available for both iPhone and Android devices from Liquidmongoose.com is Transitly. Not fancy: for just the step-by-step instructions, try Transitly. No maps or trip-planning applications; simple to use when you take the same bus or train every day and just need info.

Dadnab uses the old-fashioned text message — just text your location and destination to 503-406-8622. No contract involved. Give it a try.
